Sandvik coromant and Ferro technique
teamed up to showcase the latest in
machining and cutting technologies at
Ferro’s facility in Mississauga, ON.
Local manufacturers had the opportunity
to see machine tools in action, including
Sandvik coromant’s new multi-directional
turning technology, Primeturning,
demonstrated on a Doosan Puma 300 cNc
lathe. Suppliers Mastercam and renishaw
were also on hand to show attendees
new technologies. renishaw, for example,
demonstrated the ease-of-use of its
on-machine probing app, “Set & Inspect”
installed on the Hartrol Smart cNc control
on a Hartford machine.

centreLine (Windsor) Ltd., is expanding its three existing operations in
Windsor, ON, with a new 7,897 sq m (85,000 sq ft) greenfield plant.
the new plant will include 6,689 sq m ( 72,000 sq ft) of manufacturing
space, and 1,208 sq m ( 13,000 sq ft) of office space. the new company
division will manufacture welding and joining brand product. the company
says the expansion is a result of rapidly expanding sales growth. the
expansion is the latest in a series the company has undergone in the past
ten years. the new plant is expected to be completed in the spring of 2018.
